2nd November 2023: “Let’s be proud of our unique traditions, art forms, and achievements on this Karnataka Rajyotsava.”
68th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor in the MIS campus. Students showcased their talent and exhibited their love for their beloved state, Karnataka, by enthusiastically participating in a gala celebration.
Shreya and Nidhi of std 7 introduced the rich culture of our state to the gathering, which was followed by a prayer service and prayer dance invoking God's blessings on the state and its citizens. The lamp signifying prosperity was lit by Sr. Celine Vera, Sr. Clare, Sr. Rosevera , Sr. Vinitha Pinto and Mrs. Enid.
Students of std 5 enumerated the lifestyle of famous personalities like Kitthiru Chennamma,
Sangollirayanna, Kempe Gowda, Onake Obavva,Basavanna, Akkamahadevi, Salu Marada Thimmakka, and Uma Bhai Kundapurawho added richness to the Kannada history.
A skit on Jalagara, a famous novel written by Kuvempu, depicted the dignity of labour and the bane of casteism and reiterated the universal truth that there is only one God and we are all same in His eyes.
Students performed and enthralled the audience with various dance forms like Bharatnatyam and Yakshagana.
Sr. Rosevera, the principal in her message, congratulated and appreciated the teachers and students for their hard work and lovely program. Sister, in her message, further asked the students to celebrate this Karnataka Rajyotsava for the state's excellence in education, science, and technological advancements.
Jeevitha of class 7 proposed the vote of thanks. The emcee of the day were Shreya and Nidhi.
The program ended with everyone singing Nadageethe in true patriotic fervor.
