The air at Mary Immaculate Campus was filled with the spirit of Christmas as the school community came together to celebrate the joyous occasion. The festivities commenced with a special Christmas Mass, where students, teachers, and staff joined in prayers and carols on Friday, 20th December 2024. The Mass was a beautiful reminder of the true spirit of Christmas—love, peace, and hope.
On Saturday, 21st December, teachers of the Mary Immaculate Institutions gathered in the school auditorium. The ICSE school teachers under the guidance of Mrs. Anitha J and Mrs. Shirley performed a beautiful nativity programme complete with dance, skit and carols bringing in the true spirit of Christmas.
Sr. Rosevera welcomed the gathering. Sr. Vinitha led the gathering in prayer. Sr. Celine Vera thanked and appreciated the teachers for their efforts in the growth of the institution. Sr. Sevika with the help of Sr. Vinitha and Sr. Philomen conducted games bringing out the child in the teachers. The get together ended in a positive note with a sumptuous lunch and a mindful gift from the management. Mrs. Lucia proposed the vote of thanks.
On Monday, 23rd December 2024, the students' performances were the highlight of the Christmas celebration, showcasing their talent and creativity. The school auditorium was filled with energy and excitement as students took to the stage to perform. The event began with a beautiful prayer service led by the students of std 5, trained by Mrs. Durga Bai. This was followed by a musical Christmas play, where students of std. 2 to 4 trained by Mrs. Shirley and Mrs. Anitha J re-enacted the nativity scene, bringing the story of Jesus’ birth to life. The play was filled with enthusiasm, and the students' performances were heartfelt and engaging, spreading a message of love and goodwill. The school choir’s harmonious renditions brought festive cheer to the audience.
Sr. Rosevera, the principal in her message congratulated and appreciated the students and teachers for the wonderful programme. Sister re-emphasised the importance of embracing the values of love and peace, not only during Christmas but throughout the year, and to continue working together to make the world a better place. Eggless plum cakes were distributed at the end of the programme.
