75yrs of Independence was celebrated even in this pandemic with the same fervour and patriotism. Even though we couldn’t conduct an offline program but the teachers and students left no stone unturned in making this day a memorable one.
The day started with the prayer service thanking the Lord Almighty for the freedom fighters and the innumerable soldiers who laid down the lives in maintaining the freedom of our country. In keeping with the secularism of the country, Holy Bible was read by Angel, Bhagwad Geetha by Madura, Quran by Mehak followed by a prayer by Mandira, Varsha Jain and Unnathi.
A fusion dance on a patriotic song was performed by Gretta Maria, Vaishnavi Allur, Bhoomika, Janmitha and Janitha. A mash up song venerating the freedom fighters and their sacrifices was sung by Sowmya, Jeslin, Andrea and Abiya. Students Andrea and Sowmya gave a musical instrument tribute to the motherland on their keyboard and guitar respectively.
A ppt on Unity in Diversity was played where the main performers were Merin in Malayalam, Lakshmi in Kannada , Bhoomi Jain in Punjabi and Marwari, Abhishikha in Oriya and Akshaya in Tamil.
The Chief Guest of the program, Miss. Namrata Bhojraj, KAS Office and a proud alumni of Mary Immaculate, in her message reiterated the importance of respecting the freedom fighters of our nation and do our part in the development of our country.
Sr. Rosevera , our Principal in her message thanked the chief guest for being a part of the program , appreciated the students and teachers for putting put a brilliant performance inspite of the pandemic and encouraged the students to work towards making the country a better place to live in.
Tanusha S Shettar proposed the vote of thanks. The program was compeered by Tanya and Tanusha. The national anthem was sung by Sowmya and Abiya.
The entire program was conducted under the able guidance of Mrs. Nithya and Miss. Roshini. All the videos were compiled by Mrs. Preethi Dora. The video was uploaded on You tube by Mrs. Ancilla.
