2024-25

The Annual Sports Meet was held on with great enthusiasm and participation from management, teachers, and students. The event was an exciting and competitive day filled with athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit.

The chief guest of the day, DCP (South) Sarah Fathima, IPS was ceremoniously welcomed by the Principal, Joint Secretary of Mary Immaculate Institutions, School Administrator, PTA Executive Members, the School Pupil Leaders and the School Band. A prayer song and a welcome dance in true Indian spirit of various traditions encapsulated the moment. The highlight of the welcome dance were the two Yakshagana performers. Flag hosting and marchpast was followed by the torch relay by Samyuktha S G, Harini, Sandra and Roshini. DCP Sarah Fathima declared the Annual Sports Meet open, followed by the oath taking ceremony.

The Chief Guest in her message appreciated and congratulated, the management, teachers and students for the efforts in organizing the Annual Sports Meet and enumerated on the importance of standing up for ones own self and how to reach out to the police when in distress.

Std 1 to Std 8 put up various displays using varieties of props like caps, badminton racquets, umbrella, hoops, basketball and coconut shells. Games were held for parents and the alumni and the winners were given medals. Medals for students from std 1 to std 10 were given for the various sports of individual and group category.

Teachers and students joined hands in putting up a wonderful fund raising carnival with games, nail art and sumptuous food for helping the poor and the needy.

Joint Secretary of Mary Immaculate Institutions, Sr. Celine Vera lowered the school flag and was ceremoniously handed over to the school Principal, Sr. Rosevera.

The Chief Guest and the audience were welcomed by the Principal, Sr. Rosevera. The emcees for the day were Anushka Aithal, Bibi Saara, Bindu V, Prarthana and Suparna of Std 10. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Padma and Mrs. Jismi.

The day came to an end with the rendition of the school song.
