Students of std 10 hosted the World Environment Day 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The programme commenced thanking the Almighty for the wondrous gift of earth and imploring divine blessings on the gathering.
Sr. Celine Vera, the Joint Secretary of Mary Immaculate Institutions, planted the sapling while Sr. Rosevera, our Principal and Sr. Philomen added the nourishment of soil and Sr. Vinitha, the vice-principal poured the water of love
The crux of the programme was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do it. We cannot continue to be mere spectators, rather we should be well informed participants working towards earth's sustenance. The same was enacted by the students through a musical ballet.
Ms. Sunitha, enumerated the importance of using steel water bottles, towels instead of tissue paper and also not to snip off the corners of the packets as it is difficult to recycle them leading to land pollution
Sr. Rosevera in her message congratulated the teachers and students for the wonderful programme. Sister applauded the students for participating in the national drive of collecting mango seeds for the poor farmers in collaboration with Gram Samruddhi Foundation.
On the occasion of the World Environment Day, our support staff were felicitated by Sr. Celine Vera and Sr. Rosevera for their undying efforts and commitment in keeping the school campus clean and green.
