A series of teacher development programme was organised for the teaching fraternity from 29th May to 31st May 2024 to equip them to become effective educators. The programme was sequenced to herald the staff towards the new beginning furnished with effective tools for the holistic growth of students.
The session began on 29th May by invoking God's blessings through a prayer service led by Sr. Vinitha, the vice-principal. Sr. Rosevera, the principal, welcomed the teachers and congratulated and applauded them for their persistence and tenacity in training the students in attaining good results. Sister, introduced and welcomed the new staff members. She reiterated the duties of teachers and implored them to be more understanding and compassionate.
Sr. Celine Vera, the Joint Secretary of Mary Immaculate Institutions, welcomed the teachers and congratulated them on the wonderful result. Sister through various anecdotes enumerated the importance of positive effects of overcoming preconceived notions and being open to constant updates for the betterment of students.
Rev. Fr. Varghese CMI, CFO from Christ University was the resource person of the day. Father in his message asked the teachers to develop positive and progressive attitude in students by inculcating good behaviour and effective communication.

Father, through real life witty examples proposed the teachers to be good role models to the students entrusted in their care. The session was high powered with various team activities which made the session fun filled and interactive.
Sr. Clare, the school administrator led a session on the vision and mission of the school enumerating the identity of an Apostolic Carmel teacher. Sister expressed that a teacher should ingrain creativity, emotional competency, faith and responsibility towards the society in a student.
These three days were a renewal to the teachers as they imbibed skills for the betterment of students.
