"Together, may we give our children the roots to grow and wings to fly"
Annual General PTA Meeting was held on Saturday, 12th August 2023, for parents of students from Std. 5 to Std 10.
The day began by invoking God’s presence in our midst by the school choir trained by Mrs. Anitha J.
The chief guest of the day was Dr. Shubha Madhusudan, a renowned clinical psychologist with a rich clinical experience of 15 years as a consultant in Fortis Hospital. A corporate trainer with a Six Sigma Green Belt is well versed with clinical, legal and ethical organ transplant and sexual harassment committee proceedings.
Mrs. Lalitha welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries of the day.
Mrs. Bertha Rajan thanked the PTA executive members of 2022-2023, Mr. Mohan Babu, the Vice President, Mr. Baiju, the Secretary and Mrs. Usha A Aithal, the Treasurer for their support and commitment. She welcomed the newly elected PTA executive members for the year 2023-24 : Mr. Jaffar Sait as Vice President, Mr. Baiju as Secretary and Mrs. Ankitha as Treasurer.
The chief guest, Dr. Shubha Madhusudan in her message appreciated the presence of PTA in school for the collaborative growth of children and congratulated the parents for taking their time to attend the meeting. She instructed the parents to provide nutritious and timely food to the children. She asked the parents to cater to the needs of the students and not their desire. Dr. Shubha vehemently expressed the need to make the child understand the importance of saying "no" and accepting "no" for an answer. She further advised the parents the importance of showing love and affection to the children of all ages and handling anger issues by analysing the underlying problem sensitively. The parents were given time to ask relevant questions to which they were given satisfactory answers.
Mrs. Sujatha and Mrs. Dixy honoured the std 10 toppers for the academy year 2022-2023.
Sr. Rosevera, the principal in her message congratulated the prize winners. She apprised the parents of the various co scholastic activities conducted in school along with various measures undertaken for academic excellence. Sister requested the parents to be vigilant and to monitor the browsing behavior of their children and take corrective steps. One need not spy or encroach on a child's privacy but it is pivotal to monitor which sites are being visited by your child. Sister further thanked Mrs. Maria Frederick and Mrs Margaret Joseph for their resilience and optimism in dedicating 41 and 27 years respectively to the institution.
Mrs. Shirley and Mrs. Padma thanked the retired teachers Mrs. Maria Frederick and Mrs Margaret Joseph respectively for their tireless and efficient service in not only delivering academic support but also instilling the right moral values in the students. They were duly honoured by the PTA Executive Members. Mrs. Maria Frederick in her message thanked and appreciated the parents for their love and support. Refreshment were provided at the end of the meeting.
The emcee for the day was Sr. Vinitha Pinto and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Padmapriya.
