7th June 2023 # Beat Plastic Pollution
The 50th anniversary of World Environment Day was celebrated in our school today along with World Food Safety Day to raise awareness and generate action for the protection of our planet and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks.
A relevant theme chosen for the year was the 4R's " REFUCE- REDUCE-REUSE-RETHINK" followed by a plastic free pledge. A mime on "Action speaks more than words" made the students realize that the little things which each one can do, beginning from our own homes and school can bring about a positive change to a cleaner environment. The program also laid importance on the consequences of taking care of what we eat, leading to detrimental health.
A sapling was presented to Sr. Rosevera, the principal by Anushka Aithal on this momentous occasion.
Sr. Rosevera, in her message, appreciated the students of std 9 and their teachers for the thought-provoking program. Sister reiterated the importance and interconnectivity of healthy body and environment towards making this world a better place.
The hosts for the day were Zunair and Ankita.
