9th February 2023: A farewell is a bittersweet moment for everyone involved, but it is especially poignant when it involves our beloved teachers. Teachers have a profound impact on the students, shaping not only their academic knowledge but also their character and values.

Mrs. Maria Frederick and Mrs. Margaret Joseph had spent a major chunk of their life in shaping the lives of thousands of students of Mary Immaculate School.

The program commenced with a prayer service led by the school choir, followed by the lighting of the lamp. Mrs. Evangeline, in her opening note, welcomed the families of the retiring teachers, PTA Executive Members, retired teachers.and the ex-students.

Teachers, Mrs.Fahima and Mrs. Bertha expressed their gratitude to the teachers. Mrs. Josephine and Mrs. Uma penned a poem each as a tribute to the teachers, which was well appreciated.

The ex-students came forward and expressed their gratitude.

A cultural program depicting the life of a teacher through a shadow play followed by a musical enactment on the mudras of Indian Classical dance
stole the show.

Sr.Rosevera, the principal in her message thanked the teachers for their unparalleled contributions to the school and being a model to the junior teachers.

The teachers were duly felicitated by the management, staff, students, PTA members, retired teachers.and ex-students.

The teachers in their message thanked the management and staff for the wonderful program and shared some wonderful anecdotes from their teaching experience which made the event more colourful and emotional.

The emcee for the day were Mrs. Bharati and Mrs.Roshiny and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Shirley.
