International yoga day is observed every year on 21st June to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. "YOGA FOR HUMANITY" was adopted as this year's theme, keeping in mind the relevance of doing yoga everyday for better immunity during the outbreak of Covid 19.
The day began with a prayer service and a brief introduction on Yoga by teacher, Mrs. Bertha. Students chanted "Asathoma Sathgamaya" to relax their body and mind. Warm up exercises were followed by sitting and standing asanas, importance of which were simultaneously explained.
Sr Rosevera, our Principal in her message reiterated the importance of yoga for better concentration and immune system.
