21st December and 23rd December 2021 Christmas Celebration
Let's make a crib of love, joy, peace and hope in our hearts.
Christmas Season brings with it an air of happiness and joy. This year the happiness was compounded as we were celebrating Christmas in our campus after nearly two years of lockdown. Inspite of the Omicron scare , the government and the schools decided to put their foot against the virus by trying to lift up the spirit of Christmas while hosting various events in School like card making, notice board decoration, Crib making and class room decoration based on themes.
Although, there was cacophony it brought about a cheer in everyone's face. 21st evening the teachers of Mary Immaculate School and Mary Immaculate High School put up a stunning Christmas program as a part of Campus Meet. Sri Ida Barboza , Joint Secretary Managing Committee, Mary Immaculate Institutions in her message asked the teachers to maintain the spirit of Christmas by spreading love and hope amongst the colleagues and children. After the program, the management put up a few games and the teachers participated whole heartedly with a few of them winning some interesting prizes. Santa Claus entered the auditorium bringing with him the cheerful spirit and making the teachers dance along.
On 23rd December, students from std 1to std 10 put up a spectacular performance with ballet, carols and significance of the various Christmas symbols. Teachers too participated in shadow nativity which the children enjoyed. Sr. Clare , the school administrator, in her message to students from std 1 to 5, enumerated the qualities of baby Jesus and reiterated the importance of following the path of Jesus to lead a happy and peaceful life. Sr. Rosevera, our Principal in her message through a short story to students of std 6 to std 10, expressed that the joy of Christmas is not in making cards, decorating the house or singing carols but in loving, caring and sharing. Santa entered the auditorium with a blast bringing cheer and smile on every child's face. After the program, students were given plum cakes and the teachers were given Christmas goodies.
