“Christmas is not about opening gifts but opening our hearts to welcome the true spirit of love and compassion.” With this thought in mind , our school celebrated virtual Christmas on 24th December 2020. The celebration commenced invoking the blessings of the Lord Almighty with a Bible reading from the gospel of Luke by Abia, followed by prayer intentions asking for good health, peace, eradication of Covid 19 and good health and prosperity to all by students Sumana, Sonia and Tanusha. The trio Amanda, Andrea and Sowmya filled our hearts with the true spirit of Christmas with their beautiful song and music. What’s Christmas without carols – Students Abia and Judith along with teachers Sr. Marina, Sr. Renitha and Mrs. Jaysheela infused in us the story of Christmas through their soulful singing.
Sr. Ida Barboza, the Joint Secretary Managing Committee Mary Immaculate Institutions, in her message very beautifully pointed out the positive aspects of the pandemic like cleaner air, water, better family life, importance of others in our lives and of course the fact that everyone is equal in the eyes of the Lord. She reiterated the importance of having true faith and perseverance just like Mary and Joseph to God Almighty. The program was compered by Gretta of Std 5. We the management, teaching and non-teaching fraternity along with the students wish you a happy, peaceful, hope-filled Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year 2021.
