September 5th this year was extraordinary; for the first time ever, teachers' day was celebrated virtually by our school. It was a great challenge to put together the program for teachers and students alike but the positive side is that the day was celebrated in the same fervour as previous years. The programme was compèred by Naadia Ghalib Sheriff and Annam Nimra of std 10. It commenced with prayers and intentions for our dear teachers. A graceful prayer dance by Jeevitha of std 10 filled all our hearts with devotion. Soha of std 10 welcomed the eager audience wholeheartedly, thanking them for their invaluable presence. Bhoomika of std 7, dedicated a song, both melodious and meaningful, to the teachers. The necessity of teachers in our lives was then highlighted by Monisha A of class 10 through her powerful speech. Amanda of std 9, Andrea and Soumya of std 8 gave a stunning musical performance expressing their love for the teachers. An inspiring video threw light on the importance of teaching and the role of teachers in moulding the lives of children. Unnathi, Mandira and Amrutha of std 9 delivered a fun and entertaining dance performance that boosted all our energy levels. A touching speech by little Annorah of std 3 stole our hearts. Vyomica Kriti of std 10 treated everyone to a captivating dance performance. A mesmerizing song penned by one of our students, Soundarya, and sung by Anisha of std 10 was indeed gratifying. A riveting PPT took us on a long ride down memory lane, with pictures of our teachers, both present and past, offering a compelling evocation of the good old times.
Shravana's sublime song was indeed a fitting tribute to our teachers. Mrs. Bertha Rajan was appreciated for her 25 years of selfless service to the MIS. Students remembered teacher Nisha for her diligence in coaching the students of std 9 and 10 and paid a befitting tribute to her. Highlighting, once more, the importance of teachers, Sr. Rosevera, our principal, thanked the students for the enchanting fare. Sweta K. expressed her gratitude to the participants for their thrilling performances and the audience for their kind co-operation. The best part of the programme was saved for the last. Deepa and Nivedhitha of std 10 conducted fun games that the teachers enjoyed and took part in enthusiastically. The programme concluded on a high note with all the teachers giving a huge round of applause for the students' efforts to make this day a special and memorable one for them
