Jubilees are milestones to be celebrated, to recall the wondrous ways in which the school has fulfilled its mission in imparting holistic education, both moral and spiritual values to mould leaders who will bear the torch of peace and love which our society and country needs today. They also provide a platform to reflect on the past laurels of the school as well as introspect on the preparations to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
Mary Immaculate School celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in the year 2018-19. The festivities included a plethora of exciting events spread over the year, which culminated on 7th December 2018 making it one of the most festive and memorable day in the history of the school.
From very humble beginnings in 1958, Mary Immaculate School has grown leaps and bounds, andnow stands tall and proud equipped with the latest innovations intechnology, expansive playing fields, beautifully landscaped gardens and a state of the artcomputer lab.
To commemorate 60 years of its presence in the field of education, Parents day was celebrated .The event kick-started with a beautiful and meaningful inter faith prayer service thanking the Lord Almighty for 60 glorious years in the field of education. Mary Immaculate saw the wonderful presence of eminent dignitaries who were politicians, educationalists and social workers. In the absence of Mr. Ramalinga Reddy, his daughter Ms. Sowmya Reddy an alumni of Mary Immaculate School enthralled the audience with her power packed speech on educating girls. Sr. Lydia in her message appreciated the enthusiasm of the parents in educating their daughters and advised the children to imbibe the values of Mother Veronica.
Students from std 1 to std 10 put up colourful programs which were not only entertaining but carried thought provoking messages as well. Students through their performance highlighted the importance of Secularism, Socialism, Justice and Women Empowerment and also brought into light the abuse of mobile phones and the vices of laziness. A befitting tribute was paid to Mother Veronica, the foundress of our school, in the form of a skit enumerating the various stages of her life. The evening ended with a tableau on Christmas and the joy and fervour of the arrival baby Jesus in our midst.
The Diamond Jubilee could well be called the Year of Gratitude, because we have so much to be thankful for.
