Engineers turn dreams into reality.
Every year September 15th is celebrated as Engineers’ Day to commemorate the birthday of one of India’s finest engineers, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya whose 160th birthday was celebrated with great gusto today.
An engineer par excellence, he has many credentials to his name like the Bharat Ratna, Knight Commander of the British Indian Empire, “precursor of Economic Planning in India, a visionary, and educator etc.
To honour this wonderful human being for his innovative zeal, the students of std 6 under the able guidance of teachers, Mrs. Padma Priya and Mrs Madhumathi put up a lovely programme enumerating the qualities and life style of Sir. MV. The day began with a meaningful prayer service asking for God’s providence on all the Engineers who with their dexterity and dedication are instrumental in nation building. A biography on Sir MV as well as interesting facts about his life were beautifully presented by the students.
The staff and management of MIS thanked and appreciated the Immaculites who are working as engineers and helping in the development of our nation’s infrastructure. Mrs. Shantha Mary was appreciated for the immense effort taken by her in collating the information.
The program was edited, compiled and uploaded on You Tube by Mrs. Shwetha.
